Touge Attack | Seeker EG6

Seeker's EG6 is an excellent example of proper N/A tuning. To me, N/A tuning is not only a term that refers to the engine setup, but rather the overall car setup as well. The throttle response and power band characteristics of the N/A B18C allows the driver to fine tune his inputs which makes it easier to stay within the limits of the tire and utilizing full traction.

This 1.8L engine puts down 200ps through a rebuilt transmission using shorter 3rd,4th and 5th ATS gears, a 4.4 final drive and a Cusco LSD. Nimble and responsive handling is the result of using grippy street tires in modest sizing along with Spoon dampers as well as a mild weight reduction.

It's amazing to see this EG6 running at the level that it is while still having mostly stock exterior and interior. For being such an old car, it is still very competitive and still a great tuning base. It even clocked a time very close to the Amuse S2000, the Touge Monster! That to me is why I have an EG Civic of my own. It is cars like these that show that the potential is there if the proper tuning concepts are used. The car simply looks very balanced and a blast to drive which is the reason why we love N/A.

J's Racing S2000

J's Racing's S2000 is without a doubt one of my favorite Hondas of all time. Its pinpoint handling, responsive engine and eargasmic exhaust note are simply to die for.

Type R Tuesday | Audi R8 V10 vs Mugen Honda Civic Type R

For me, the Euro Civic Type R is yet another Honda that upon launch, didn't tickle my fancy. When pictures of prototypes would surface of various new models, I would say to myself; what is Honda thinking?

However as soon as they would lunch and a few months passed by, I would take another look at them and think "Hrm, you know, this actually isn't half bad". Little did I know that I would come to like just about every single one of them!

The Euro Type R is one of those. These days I am heads over heels for them and what once seemed like tacky styling, is now simply gorgeous. It would just be a dream to own one but if that wasn't too much to ask for, Mugen had to go and make their own version and make an already superb car, an extraordinary one.

Enjoy this Mugen Euro CTR chasing an Audi R8 in a hillclimb.

Arvou S2000

Heres a small tuning shop you don't hear much of. Arvou is located in Tochigi, Japan and have been around since 1985. They specialize primarily in S2000s and Lotus Elise/Exiges. They offer many parts from coilovers to exhaust systems and services such as maintenance and parts installation.

Their shop car, an ITB'd S2000, has a maximum output of 296PS and laps Tsukuba in 1:04.010. The RE30s look great on this car and just fills the wheel wells nicely with the 265/35/18 size tires.

If you would like to see more, be sure to check out VTEC Club Vol 6 for track footage.

Epic battle

I hate how often the word "epic" is used by most people, but there is no other description for this touge battle. It embodies everything I love about Hondas and Japanese tuning and driving.
