When putting together a project, you can have all of the right ideas in your head and all of the right tools in the garage, but if you don't have the parts to do so, well then you might as well just have a beer and look at it. Thankfully we don't have to sit idle and can simply hit up the fellas over at AFHK located in Manchester, NH for our fix of authentic Honda and Acura parts. Not just run of the mill maintenance stuff either, AFHK keeps in stock a slew of discontinued Type R goodies, aftermarket K20/K24 hybrid swap parts and even odd Mugen bits here and there. So, tell me, what's your local Honda parts dealer like?

TOP-5 | Ashton's Civic

This weeks TOP-5 is spotlighting Ashton's FA5. Ashton is well known for his immaculate FA5 and is a regular at the SHG meets. This car has taken many forms over the years, of which included many real deal Mugen parts. Originally setup as a USDM spec Mugen clone, it is now converted fully to JDM spec, with Mugen still playing a heavy roll in the overall appearance of the car. Ashton has done a superb job making sure all aspects of the car stay as clean and functional as possible and it clearly shows. I can't wait to see whats in store for this upcoming season. Anyhow, here is my Top-5 pick from a recent collection of pictures I took of this inspiring build.

Wheel Wednesday | JDM CTR

Civic Type R FD2 Prototype | Test Drive

In this video, Formula 1 driver Jenson Button takes out a prototype version of the FD2 for a proper test drive around Honda's test track and gives the engineers feedback on various areas of the car. Now we all know that the FD2 is great but hearing specifically why that is from JB puts the icing on the cake.

Can you FEEL it?

Check out the FEEL's FD2 doing some running at Tsukuba Circuit. The whistle sound that the engine is making is not to be confused with a supercharger but rather the individual throttle bodies...Gnarly!

RG-O Maintenance is one of those small tuner shops much like the ones we're used to buying parts from. The only difference is that this one isn't very popular or even widely know outside of Japan for that matter. As far as I know it isn't very popular in Japan either!

FD2 One Make Race cup final

Exciting final race at Fuji Speedway between built Civic Type Rs. The nice part about this type of racing is that the base car is the same so you end up with very competitive cars which translates to heated battles all across the field.

Fierce battle at Sugo between Civic Type Rs racing in the Inter series. The cars are very well setup as you can see from the oversteer/understeer balance. Gotta love a nicely tuned Type R!
