Save The SOHC | A New Lease On Life

Generally speaking, for as long as DOHC engines have been around, they have always taken precedence over their cheaper, less complex single overhead camshaft siblings. On paper, the increased efficiency of DOHC engines are undeniable, proving time and time again to extract more juice from the same sized fruit. With the uprise in popularity of the technologically superior K series and continued prevalence of the well established B series, engines like the D series have become relics in today's world. What is regarded by many as a throwaway motor, is for others like myself, a viable option to modest performance at a low cost while achieving excellent fuel economy and stellar reliability.

Function and Form

Now here is a build that I enjoy following. A 1994 Honda Civic DX coupe that has gotten some really nice upgrades in all of the right places. Some key mods include a mildly tucked B18C swap with I/H/E, Buddy Club N+ coilovers along with a 24mm sway bar and a newly acquired set of 949 Racing 6UL wheels in 15x7 +36.

What I find so special about this build is the neatly documented work and the oh-so-easy to follow write-ups that are included. If you are interested in seeing more, then check out his build thread!

My cup of tea

Quite the nice looking Honda we have here. I must say its perfect in my eyes and its probably my favorite color that wasn't offered in the EG from factory. Height wise it looks great and is suited for the street or track. Now this is a proper stance ladies and gentlemen. Wheels that actually fit and can be driven on without being a hassle. The right combination of subtle aero parts. A car in which its presence brings a good feeling to on lookers. This is my cup of tea!
